As a 501c3 non-profit organization, we deliver inexpensive and convenient parenting solutions to all members of society regardless of ability to pay. Parent Road began in 2005 and has expanded its class offerings and technology to meet the changing demands of today’s families.
Our program services are a result of modern technology that facilitates online small group meetings and improved multimedia educational components. Our courses adhere to an asynchronous learning format (i.e., available anytime without rigid scheduling). Instructional design methods include interactive learning modules that keep students interested and that match the pace of each student’s learning style. Webcam video documentation guarantees the highest level of accountability including digital documentation for authorized 3rd party verification. While training certification with Parent Road involves some of the most expensive and advanced cutting-edge flash recording technology, our students using this technology need only have a basic computer, webcam and high-speed internet connection.
Anger Management classes and Parenting 101 – our core classes -- offer a guarantee to court-ordered students and significantly enhance the lives of parents and family members struggling with divorce, single parenting, or other inherent stresses encountered within modern culture. New classes – down the ‘Parent Road to success’ – are under development and will include Substance Abuse, Human Sexuality, and Domestic Violence.
Parent Road works hand in hand with social workers, criminal justice case workers, mental health professionals, courts and clergy to improve client non-compliance, speed up the emotional and mental healing process, and improve outcomes.
